  • Kathleen Scandura

    DVM

    Dr. Kathleen Scandura received hr Batchelor's Degree in Biology at Colby College and her DVM from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been practicing since 1991 and became the Medical Director at VCA Northboro Animal Hospital in 1996. Dr. Scandura's personal pets include her 2 dogs, Madison and Lily and her horse Savannah. When not working she enjoys spending time with her family and pets.

  • Gillian Fraser

    DVM

    Dr. Fraser grew up taking care of bunnies, birds, a dog, and any horses that she could get her hands on. As an undergraduate at Dartmouth College, she competed with the equestrian team, volunteered at the humane society and at the local veterinary hospital. She graduated in 1995 with a major in Biology modified with Psychology. Before applying to veterinary school, Dr. Fraser took a year to visit family in Australia and finish pre-veterinary course work at Monash University. While attending Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, she volunteered on the Pet Loss Support Line and Gap Junction, an after school science enrichment program for grades 5-8. She earned her DVM degree in June 2000, and shortly after moved to New York City to complete an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center. Dr. Fraser joined VCA in November, 2001 at the Village Animal Hospital in Larchmont, NY. In June 2004 she became a part of the team at VCA Northborough. When not at work, Gillian enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, her son, Gavin, her daughter, Tylia, and their boxer, Pheobe. Her hobbies are yoga, soduku, and making attempts at gardening.

    DVM

    Randi Henry DVM (Small animal Medicine) received her veterinary degree in 2002 from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. At Tufts University Dr. Henry studied International Medicine and Population Health. She also did a research fellowship focusing on the effects of pollution on genetic diversity and genetic mapping. After working for an emergency and referral clinic in Ohio, Dr. Henry returned to Massachusetts and was an associate veterinarian at VCA Shrewsbury Animal Hospital. Dr Henry is currently on staff at VCA Northboro Animal Hospital and has been her since August of 2005. She also works part time at the Worcester Animal Rescue League.

  • Shelley Howe-Macchi

    DVM

    Dr. Shelley Macchi received her DVM degree in 2006 from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. After that she completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine at New England Medical Center in West Bridgewater, MA. Dr. Macchi has been on staff at VCA Northboro Animal Hospital since the summer of 2007. She and her husband have 2 dogs and enjoy spending time with friends and family.

    Dr. Amy Ruggiero graduated in 2003 with a Natural Science degree from Saint Anselm College in Manchester, NH. She received her DVM degree in 2009 from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Ruggiero has been on staff at VCA Northboro Animal Hospital since the summer of 2009. Dr. Ruggiero enjoys playing soccer and running in her free time. She also enjoys spending time outside hiking with her boxer, Bella.l.

  • Loren Cohen

    DVM

    Dr. Cohen graduated from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. Following graduation, she completed a yearlong rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ and then a specialty Dermatology internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Red Bank, NJ. Following this she completed a residency program in Dermatology at the Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

  • Sonia Dantas

    DVM

    Dr. Sonia Dantas graduated from Michigan State University in 2012, followed by internships at VCA Referral and Emergency Center, VCA Shoreline Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center, and VCA Darien Animal Hospital. Dr. Dantas especially enjoys working with ultrasound and diagnostic imaging techniques. When Dr. Dantas is not at work she enjoys drawing and painting, being outdoors, and enjoying family and friends.
